Class Experience
The lessons are sourced in virtues that are essential elements in development of one's character and social skills for establishing healthy and successful social interactions and relationships. We will start by a brief mindfulness practice to introduce the concept of all the gems (virtues) within us. What is the virtue (i.e. tactfulness)? Why is it important to practice it? How to practice it? Related Group Activities: cooperative games, story time/ online story time videos, brain break,...
This class will guide students through understanding, examples, and related activities how to practice virtues (tactfulness) in daily life in interactions with their family, friends, classmates, and teachers.
The learners can express their understanding of the lesson through the arts such as drawing, songs, or poetry. This is highly encouraged, however, it is not mandatory.
The students' progress will be assessed by group activities such as games, discussions, and drawing related to the virtue of tactfulness.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Only age-appropriate sources will be used via screen share.
