This class is designed to empower children (age 7-12) to develop life skills to be at their best in life and to live by their highest values. The lessons are sourced in virtues to help in development of their character and social skills.
Class experience
The lessons are sourced in virtues that are essential elements in development of one's character and social skills for establishing healthy and successful social interactions and relationships. We will start by a brief mindfulness practice to introduce the concept of all the gems (virtues) within us. What is the virtue (i.e. orderliness)? Why is it important to practice it? This class will guide students through understanding, examples, and related activities how to practice virtues (truthfulness) in daily life in interactions with their family, friends, classmates, and teachers.
Homework Offered
The learners can express their understanding of the lesson through the arts such as drawing, songs, or poetry. This is highly encouraged, however, it is not mandatory.Assessments Offered
The students' progress will be assessed by group activities such as games, discussions, and drawing related to the virtue of orderliness.Grades Offered
