In this course, students will learn the basics of budgeting and personal finance. We will cover: -US currency dominations and how they work together -counting money -why it’s important to save money -how we might acquire money (working, gifts) -the benefits of saving money -budgeting basics: how to create a budget Class will be interactive, with both lecture and discussion. Students are encouraged to ask questions and participate in the discussion. No previous experience required.
Students will learn their basic US currency, how to count money, and how to make a budget. Students will also learn about the importance of saving money.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
