We will have interactive chats about topics around making friends and keeping friends. With more broken down goals of awareness of others feeling by facial expression and body language, showing empathy and social norms. We use questions and comments to encourage conversation and use common and differing interests to start conversations. We work on listening to others and building our social development skills using conversation. Fun topics of conversation are posted each week. This ongoing course requires no previous experience. Drop in's are fine.
Learning Goals
Students will improve there interactive skills with others and become more aware of social norms. Starting and maintaining conversation. Raised awareness of interfering anxiety and expand positive self talk. Talk about strategies to deal with there own hurt feelings and others.
