✨New to Outschool? Use code TEACSUS2020 to save $20 on this class!✨ As a former Special Education teacher, I teach academic and social skills designed for students with disabilities. These courses are highly structured using visual prompts with multiple opportunities for repetition, and, are scaffolded for learner differentiation. When we live in clutter, it can make us feel closed in and trapped. By taking charge of our space, we can do things more easily and have the bedroom and play areas that work for us. This course will use a multisensory experience with interactive games and plenty of examples to help students make connections to the material. It will be a non-judgemental session where students can talk about their challenges and problem-solve together. Students will learn a simple process of sorting items into Keep, Store, Trash, Donate/Recycle. Each student will get a checklist they can use in their own bedrooms. Students will not be muted unless there is significant background noise. Students may use their most effective method for communication, including but not limited to a verbal response, chat, or communication board.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the Decluttering Process and how to keep their rooms clean.
