This class is taught in English.
They will learn about how DNA is used to create RNA for protein synthesis, how codons are read to make proteins, the purpose of protein, how mutations can occur, genetic disorders caused by mutations, and how biotechnology and engineering work to help us solve medical issues caused by defects in our DNA.
Homework Offered
In this course, your student will have 1-2 review activities each week, two projects, and review games to check their understanding. All work can be completed digitally or printed for convenience. Project #1 Protein Synthesis Project Project #2 Genetic Disorders0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
All work can be completed digitally. If your student prefers doing the projects on paper, the following materials are suggested: paper and colored pencils.
