Description

Class Experience

Welcome to Life Science: Session B. 

This is the first half of a semester-long science program for 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade learners. You DO NOT need to take session A to take session B.

Each week will consist of two 45-minute classes that will include an interactive lecture, live animals, activities, and group discussions. The class will offer 5-10 minutes at the beginning for discussions from our previous classes and for students to engage with each other and build connections....

Learners will become familiar with basic science topics relevant to grades 4-6. 
Learners will understand how energy, water, and nutrients move around environments. 
Learners will be aware of current conservation issues and feel that they have the power to make a difference.

Homework will vary based on week and will include worksheets and small projects.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
