In this class about the Titanic, we’re not only going to look at the tragedy of it’s sinking, but life for the passengers on board. We’ll look at their rooms, dining rooms, and the different entertainment provided. We’ll also look at their dining menus and the fashion for each class! Class structure: we begin with a meet and greet time, followed by a PowerPoint class, and ending with a Q&A session. Have been teaching at co-ops in my area for three years and have been shadowing teachers for longer. I’ve also been teaching these Strange History classes over zoom for three years.
The sinking of the Titanic may be scary to some, but I don’t go into massive detail.
I use many books as well as websites to research and cross reference my classes. In this particular class I read books Titanic Ship Magnificent Slipcase: Volumes One and Two by Bruce Beveridge and Titanic: an Illustrated History by Donald Lynch. Websites used are history.com, britannica.com, and smithsonian.com.
