This class begins with an interactive PowerPoint presentation identifying reptiles and their characteristics, reviewing sea turtle anatomy, discussing the life cycle of a sea turtle, and concluding with ways everyone can help reduce their impact on our planet. This class includes a visit to our Sea Turtle Hospital, where students will get to meet some of our patients. Students will gain an understanding of the life cycle of a sea turtle and ways they can help protect sea turtles no matter where they live.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The teacher will assess the students understanding of the material throughout the lesson based on student participation.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
