Description
Class Experience
As a pastor, I have spent decades helping people deal with their lives in simple, practical things like raising kids, dealing with stress or setting healthy boundaries. I've also worked with people in moments of crisis like death, health issues, financial crisis and divorce. As a classroom teacher, I worked with students on practical skills like homework, organization, prioritizing life and finding a good career. I am in a unique position to offer a free-form class like this as I have experience in so many different areas.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I prefer parents be present (at least off camera) during this class to offer their input and answer questions I won't (especially about matters of faith). I will not discuss "hot-topic" or controversial subjects like matters of health/medicine, sexuality, religious questions, psychological needs or other issues normally handled by a licensed counselor or psychologist.
