Welcome to the Creative Writing Club for Young Fiction Writers! In this ongoing club, students aged 10-15 will join a friendly and supportive community of writers where they can connect, share ideas, and spark their creativity. This club is the perfect space for aspiring young authors to receive encouragement, advice, and inspiration while developing their writing skills in a positive environment. As an experienced and dedicated teacher, I create a welcoming classroom atmosphere where students feel valued and supported. My goal is to nurture their passion for storytelling and help them grow into confident writers. What Makes This Club Special: Connect with Fellow Writers: Students will engage socially, build friendships, and exchange ideas with peers who share their love of writing. Boost Confidence and Creativity: In a judgment-free space, young writers can unleash their imaginations, experiment with new ideas, and develop compelling storylines without the pressure of perfection. This club celebrates the joy of creative writing, encouraging students to explore their imaginations while building essential writing skills. As they grow more confident in their storytelling abilities, they’ll naturally become stronger writers, making academic writing tasks, like essays, easier and less intimidating. Whether your child is an experienced writer or just starting their storytelling journey, this club is a safe and inspiring space to learn, create, and grow. Join us and watch their love for writing flourish! Class Breakdown 10 minutes- Ice Breaker 20 minutes - Weekly topic and writing idea I will introduce the writing topic and prompt for the class. Discuss it briefly then the students are given time to write and discuss ideas. 15 minutes - Students are given the opportunity to share their writing first, then they have a chance to share anything they would like to share with the class. This is all volunteer and they are never made to share if they would not like to. At the end of each class, the students will be encouraged to set one positive goal for themselves for the upcoming week. It can be academic or personal, shared encouraged but not mandatory. **It is preferable for students to have their cameras on, it provides a more engaging experience for everyone.
