Beginner Level
What will be taught? This class teaches the fundamentals of leadership, empowering teens with the confidence and tools to take initiative and inspire others. Students will explore leadership traits, identify their own leadership style, and practice key skills such as communication, teamwork, and decision-making. What topics will you cover? The core traits of effective leaders (confidence, empathy, adaptability, responsibility) Understanding different leadership styles and discovering their own approach The importance of communication and active listening in leadership How to work effectively in teams and inspire collaboration Simple frameworks for decision-making and problem-solving How to take initiative and motivate others to achieve shared goals How is your class structured? This one-time class lasts 60 minutes and is divided into the following sections: How much will learners get to interact with you? Students will have multiple opportunities to interact during class: Live discussions: Sharing insights and reflecting on their experiences. Hands-on activities: Working through scenarios and exercises with my guidance. Personalized feedback: I will provide encouragement and actionable tips during activities and Q&A. This interactive format ensures that every student is actively involved and leaves with a deeper understanding of how to lead confidently in their daily lives.

I have spent several years studying and applying leadership principles through extensive reading of leadership books, including works by renowned authors such as John C. Maxwell and Simon Sinek. These studies have equipped me with a strong foundation in essential leadership traits, styles, and strategies.
In addition, I have real-world experience leading teams in both professional and volunteer settings, where I’ve honed my skills in communication, teamwork, and decision-making. As a homeschool educator for over 13 years and a teacher in a homeschool co-op for 4 years, I have consistently guided students in developing confidence, responsibility, and collaborative skills—key components of leadership.
Through my professional background, I’ve led successful business projects in the corporate world and have managed entrepreneurial ventures, giving me practical insights into inspiring and empowering others. This unique combination of academic study, practical experience, and a passion for mentoring young people makes me well-suited to teach this class.
