Description
Class Experience
This class is designed to prepare piano students to complete the theory portion of the Level 7 Certificate of Merit evaluation. To get the most out of this class, students should have successfully completed CM Level 6 or equivalent. Interactive lesson videos and practice exercises will be released each week. Learners will gain the knowledge needed to successfully complete the Certificate of Merit Music Theory evaluation at Level 7.
Students will be given weekly Nearpod activities to assess their progress and Quizlet sets to practice up. They will have access to the Nearpod activities for 30 days from when it is assigned, and they can complete the activities as many times as they'd like. The Quizlet sets will become available on the day they're assigned, and students should work with them regularly up until their evaluation.
All class material will be provided through Nearpod and Quizlet
Progress will be assessed through the completion of weekly Nearpod activities.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
This class uses Nearpod and Quizlet. No accounts need to be made. Weekly Nearpod videos and lessons links will be posted in the classroom. Links to Quizlet activities will be posted in the classroom with a password to access the content.
This class will cover all theory topics listed in the Certificate of Merit syllabus for Level 7. While some earlier topics may be reviewed, students should already have a working knowledge of the material listed for lower levels.
