Reading Digraphs and Blends With Mrs. Rose: In this class, students will read one and two syllable words with beginning and ending digraphs (sh, ch, th, wh) and blends (s-blends, r-blends, l-blends). Using letter symbol cues and pictures, students will practice the sounds, how to blend, and read words with digraphs and blends. In this class, students will be able to read words with digraphs /sh/, /ch/, /th/, and /wh/. Students will also be able to read beginning and ending blends. Using letter symbol cues and pictures, students will practice the sounds, how to blend, and read words with both beginning and ending digraphs. Students will also participate in phonemic awareness exercises to continue to strengthen their reading skills.

While the worksheet is part of class, there may be days that it is not completed within the class time. Please have your child complete the worksheet for practice.Assessments Offered

Each week, the worksheets will be posted to the classroom page. Students will need the worksheet during class time each meeting. a marker (I have found markers to work best, as then I can see the writing when students share.) white board and marker a quiet workspace
