Thank you for taking some time to find out about my Level 5! Part 1: Rock Out For Beginners Class. (Level 5 consists of two parts before reaching level 6) If you've made it this far you will be at the stage of your learning where you will be getting into much more intermediate playing styles. The first four levels of Rock Out Beginners gave you a solid foundation of basic guitar skills. We are now at the beginning stages of getting towards more advanced playing skills. As long as you keep going through my levels, you will continue to notice great advancements in your understanding of how to become both a fantastic guitarist and musician. In this level we will be learning: 1) 2 Chord & Strumming Songs: In level 4 we played along with some iconic pop songs using all of the chord and strumming knowledge we've learned thus far. In level 5 we will be learning a few more intricate chord and strumming concepts to play along with two more of our favorite popular songs. (you will be using a capo so make sure you always have yours handy) 2) 2 Finger-Style Songs: Playing finger-style is one of the best ways to entertain a crowd when playing solo. This method of playing will have you use song melodies and chords at the same time to create amazing and soulful sounding music. 3) 2 Must Know Classic Rock Riffs: Every guitarist should have a few handfuls of interesting and well known riffs to play in their back pocket. We will taking things up a few notches by learning some challenging and fun riffs for anyone to listen to. These riffs will definitely inspire anyone who hears you play them! 4) Relative Major & Minor Scales: In the previous level we took our first steps to understand some of the fundamentals of music theory. We are now taking the next step to interpret how all scales relate to each other and how to use our knowledge to decipher impressive improvisational abilities. 5) Finding the Key of Any Song By Ear: Knowing the key that any song is in will unlock your ability to come up with melodies and musical concepts on the spot. In other words, once you have learned the key that a song is in, you will be taking your first steps towards guitar soloing. If you really want to jam out and fully enjoy playing the guitar, you must learn how to solo. There is so much this course will cover and introduce you to. I look forward to having you with me during the first initial steps you take on your journey to becoming an incredible guitarist!
