I have my Master's Degree in Brain Based Teaching with a Focus on Literacy. (This program was based on what is now known as the Science of Reading). I am currently continuing my education with the Science of Reading courses. I have also completed the Orton-Gillingham Associates Level training. I love all aspects of teaching reading and helping students fall in love with and learn to read. I truly believe in hands-on learning, using a variety of teaching styles to meet all students where they are. What works for one student, may not work for another. I am always ready to make changes to to help each and every student learn. I am married with an inquisitive 9 year old daughter. She truly keeps me on my toes as I watch her grow and learn. We also have a 7 year old Boxer-Lab pup who completes our family.
