In this class, students will be able to read short vowel word families and sight words. Using letter symbol cues and pictures, students will practice the sounds, how to blend, and read CVC words. Students will also participate in phonemic awareness exercises to continue to strengthen their reading skills.

While the worksheet is part of class, there may be days that it is not completed within the class time. Please have your child complete the worksheet for practice.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Each week, the worksheets will be posted to the classroom page. Students will need the worksheet during class time each meeting. Letter cards will be provided for word building, but your child maybe more organized with magnetic letters and a board. a marker (I have found markers to work best, as then I can see the writing when students share.) white board and marker a quiet workspace
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This class is for students who are fluent in their letters, sounds, and decoding words.
