In this ongoing class, students will learn and practice various spelling rules using an Orton-Gillingham approach. All students are welcome, but the instruction will be geared toward dyslexic students.

While the science of reading shows that all students learn best through multi-sensory instruction, it is crucial for students with dyslexia. In addition to my masters degree in reading education, I also have obtained my 60 hours of training in Orton Gillingham training. My goal is to not only help students become better readers, but to have fun and enjoy the process too! Students will improve their understanding of various spelling rules, which will help them become more proficient readers and writers.
I have a bachelors degree in elementary education and a masters degree in reading education. I also have obtained my 60 hours of training in Orton Gillingham. I resigned from my position as a reading coach at a local public school to homeschool my son with severe dyslexia.
Students should come to class with a white board, dry erase marker, and eraser. If this is not available, students can use pencil and paper.
