This class will continue to spark the joy of reading in each learner. Lessons are structured around activities that will meet each child's individual level. This class will include short reviews of foundational phonics from previous levels 1-10, spelling, vocabulary, recognizing nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, homophones, main ideas, supporting details, author viewpoint and drawing conclusions from reading passages. I am most passionate about helping children build a strong phonics foundation. It is my joy to teach children how to read and to share my love of reading. I implement fun strategies to provide lessons that motivate students to become more fluent readers. My philosophy in teaching is to meet learners where they are and to celebrate their successes each step of the way. In my spare time I enjoy activities with my family and grandchildren, swimming and reading a good book! I look forward to extending these opportunities to more children around the globe!
