This is part of a Dyslexia-friendly reading program. Students learn all the sounds of English letters and master essential reading skills of blending, segmenting, and phoneme manipulation. Students will build, spell, and decode CVC words.

🌟 This class focuses on phonics, phonemic awareness, letter sounds, blends, segmenting, decoding, CVC words, and other early reading skills. 🎬 This class is offered in the Self-Paced format in which all content will be delivered through videos and PDF documents. Students will become confident readers of CVC words and will know all the sounds of the letters in the alphabet.
I am a certified elementary teacher and certified reading therapist. I am offering this class to give students an in-depth study of how our English words are structured, and how to break them down into their sounds in order to make decoding easier. I teach each lesson using the Phono-graphix method which I have been formally trained in by the program authors. I have been using this strategy with my private students for over 20 years and my students have had amazing success with it.

The method of instruction used in this class is Phono-Graphix which is based on the Science of Reading and is Dyslexia-friendly.
It is best for students to know the sounds of at least ten letters before starting this class.
Students may use their own letter tiles for activities or access the Google Jamboard I provide access to after enrollment for the class.
All materials for this class are teacher-created.
