The students will be learning how the alphabet sounds in Dutch and look at some unique sounds like "eu", "ij", "au", "oe". With each letter and sound, the students will learn a new word. We will also learn the numbers from 0 to 20 and how they sound in Dutch. Finally we will practice short greetings such as: Hello! How are you? My name is ..., I am ... old and I live in ... Tot gauw! -- See you soon! A Google slide-presentation (which is shared on the screen) with lots of pictures is used to keep the students engaged. Students are expected to participate in order to get feedback and corrections from the teacher. Class sizes are kept small to allow every student to get a chance to be heard and participate. After each live meeting, the students will have access to extra material (interactive worksheets, clips, songs, recordings).
