Beginner - Advanced Level
In this 4 week class, learners will practice how to consider the subject, lighting, and composition to take awesome photographs and will receive detailed feedback on all images shared in class. This class is currently offered as a self-paced course only and there are no live Zoom meetings for this class. Learners will be able to use what they know about subjects, lighting, and composition to take better photographs using any camera or mobile device.
I am a Certified Professional Photographer with The Professional Photographers of America and I have 2 degrees in education. My goal is always to create interactive lessons and give learners the freedom to get creative with photography.
Homework Offered
Learners will have homework every week which will be to take around 3 photos with weekly goals to focus on and they are encouraged to share their work with the class.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will have the opportunity to pause class videos, take photos, and share their images with the teacher and the class so they can try out skills immediately and will receive feedback for their photographs throughout the course.Grades Offered

All courses are designed to meet the needs of diverse learners with active, hands-on lessons. Please let me know if there are any additional ways that I can support or accommodate your learner in this course.
Camera or phone/tablet with a camera Objects and/or people around the house to photograph
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Some learners may need assistance with finding the best way for them to share their images. In the past learners have needed adult help with uploading photos from their cameras or other device or even logging into Outschool on the device that they use to take photos. Others share by making a video where they show the back of their camera or phone.
