Class Experience

Students will practice and learn letter sounds, words, and blends. We will name the letters a, t, n, and p and review the letter sounds. Then use those letters and blend them with other letters to make words. After each word family we will read a book together with the words words we learn and sight words.
I will be providing a sheet with the blends and words that we practiced if your child would like to practice after class. You can also play a matching game and sort words into words with each letter blend.
 1 file available upon enrollment
A two-page handout will be provided to use as a review after class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
While teaching I will assess each students background knowledge of the content in order to help each student build on what they already know. I want students to gain in confidence and comprehension of the letters, blends, and words.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class. ,
