Are you looking for a fun and exciting way for your student to improve their letter & sound knowledge? Is your student one who loves to move and always seems active? Well look no further, in this class students will improve their letter & sound knowledge all while moving. This is an on-going class- students can jump in and out of the course as needed. Each class has the same lesson and routine, therefore students can join and leave anytime depending on their abilities. Each class students will: - Begin by introducing themselves. - Then the students and I will go through a slide show of the letters (capital & lowercase) paired with a picture. We will state the letter A , name the picture, alligator and then say the letter sound /a/ while making a motion with our bodies. By connecting the letter to a visual picture, word and movement, students will begin to make those connections elsewhere. This slideshow is repeated twice. - The third run through of the slideshow will feature the letters mixed up. - If time permits students will then review the letters & sounds in their names. *If another date/time work for you, please let me know and we can see what we can work out. :)

Parental Guidance
Safety is a top priority, therefore, I recommend that students have an open space to safely move around in, proper footwear, and a water bottle if needed. Please be around to properly supervise to help prevent injuries.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello my name is Mrs. V. I have been teaching in public schools for 10 years now. I've worked in Kindergarten and Pre-K classroom. I have my bachelors in early childhood education and my masters in instructional technology. I am excited to bring both of those passions to OutSchool through a variety of classes. I teach kindergarten full time, usually in the classroom but currently online. While teaching online during this pandemic I have learned many skills and approaches on how to interact with students virtually by making lessons that include movement and fun all while still being educational. Not only am I passionate about teaching but I also love reading, baking, hiking and the outdoors. I plan to bring all of my passions to my lessons and I look forward to meeting you and your students. My classes will be interactive, fun, educational and you might even meet my dog Waylon- he loves to pop in and say hi!
