Finish the day with our letter of the day! It's a great way to review skills or learn something new. Kids love routines, so this class is designed to be something your child will look forward to!

US Grade Preschool - 1
Each week we will focus on a different letter and sight words. Students will have the opportunity to identify, read, and write letters and words. The class will take place using Nearpod. Students will be given a code at the beginning of class to join the presentation for the day. Student will trace the words, circle pictures that begin with the letter, and match pictures. Students will also be challenged to read sentences with the sight words for the week. This class will follow the schedule below: Week 1 (August 27): Letter A, sight words "all" and "am" Week 2 (September 3): Letter B, words "be" and "brown" Week 3 (September 10): Letter C, words "car" and "came" Week 4 (September 17): Letter D, words "did" and "do" Week 5 (September 24): Letter E, words "eat" and "each"

Students will participate in various activities to help them understand and identify letters.Students will be able to read and write sight words.

In 3rd grade, I decided that I wanted to be a teacher. Setting my eyes on that goal, I have a bachelor’s (Spelman College) and master’s degree (Kennesaw State University) in Education. During my four years of teaching, I have been known as the teacher with the best laugh and always making learning fun. I have the most experience with 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade. My favorite subject to teach is math, because I like to think of each problem as a puzzle that needs solving. A close second is Science because of all the experiments.
Teaching takes time and repetition. I like to make sure my students have plenty of practice time with teacher guided instruction and independent practice. I like to set goals with my students and do everything I can to help them be successful.
In my free time, I like to read, shop, put together jigsaw puzzles, and spend time with my family. I also coach science fair and robotics at the school that I teach at. I have over 15 years of experience playing flute. Now, I play with a community orchestra in Georgia.Reviews
