Learners will be taught the fundamental basics of writing an essay. They will learn about creating an introductory opening, body, and closing in their essays. This a lecture-style lesson in which learners will be writing along with the teacher who will be modeling an essay. Learners will participate in a Q and A format and will begin demonstrating effective writing skills with the teacher during the session. In the first week, we will focus on Descriptive Writing and Narrative Writing....
Learners will be able to demonstrate effective communication through written writing skills.
I will be uploading Essay planning sheets during the course along with the essay homework prompts for learners to print if they have access to a printer. Learners will need a paper or note pad and a pencil to write with during the sessions. These can be purchased at the local area Dollar Tree for $1.00 an item or the local Big Lots, Target/Walmart store for under $5.00 depending on where the learner is located.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
