In this English Writing Course, we will write in a different genre of writing each week focusing on grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and structure. Learners will complete a written task and submit it for feedback each week. ESL Friendly.

Class Experience

Do you love English? In this Ongoing Class, learners will explore a range of Writing genres in a fun and interactive way. This course aims to provide meaningful learning experiences for young writers.

Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include discussions, Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, songs, videos and much more.  Learners will be encouraged to write, revise and share what they write. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs. 

Adventure and Heroism

Week of 14/4/25 - Create a tale about a hero setting out on a quest to save their kingdom from darkness.
Week of 21/4/25 - Write about a group of friends embarking on an epic journey across uncharted lands.
Week of 28/4/25 - Craft a story about a young warrior training to become the protector of their village.
Week of 5/5/25 - Describe a daring rescue mission in the heart of a dangerous jungle.
Week of 12/5/25 - Imagine a hero facing their greatest fear to save the ones they love.
Week of 19/5/25 - Write a poem celebrating the bravery and courage of heroes throughout history.

Discovery and Exploration

Week of 26/5/25 - Describe a journey into an unknown land. What wonders does the traveler encounter?
Week of 2/6/25 - Write about a character discovering a hidden treasure in an unexpected place.
Week of 9/6/25 - Craft a story about an explorer encountering a new civilization deep in the jungle.
Week of 16/6/25 - Imagine a scientific expedition to a distant planet. What do the explorers find?
Week of 23/6/25 - Describe the excitement of a group of friends exploring a mysterious cave system.
Week of 30/6/25 - Write a poem about the thrill of discovery and the unknown.

Mysteries and Intrigue

Week of 7/7/25 – Pen a detective story about a missing artifact from a museum.
Week of 14/7/25 – Write about a secret society operating in a small town.
Week of 21/7/25 – Craft a mystery involving a series of strange occurrences in a haunted mansion.
Week of 28/7/25 – Describe a character stumbling upon a hidden message that leads to a long-lost treasure.
Week of 4/8/25 – Imagine a spy unraveling a conspiracy in the heart of a bustling city.
Week of 11/8/25 – Write a poem about the enigmatic nature of secrets and hidden truths.
