During this on-going class students will write different types of paragraphs including opinion, expository, narrative, and descriptive writing. Class will start with going over the basic parts of a written paragraph: a topic sentence, adding details, transition words and phrases, and a closing sentence. My name is Jamie and I am a literacy coach and interventionist. I have spent 9 years in the classroom working primarily with students between 1st and 4th grade. I have also been published by Heinemann for a blog series that I wrote during the pandemic.
Students can choose to submit their paragraphs after class for individualized feedback.
Please make sure to bring a blue, green, yellow, and red markers, colored pencils, or highlighters to class along with a pen/pencil and paper to be able to write!
