Do you love English? In this Ongoing Class, learners will explore a range of Writing genres in a fun and interactive way. This course aims to provide meaningful learning experiences for young writers. Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include discussions, Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, songs, videos and much more. Learners will be encouraged to write, revise and share what they write. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs. Week beginning 30/9/24 - Free Time: How to Write a Letter of Enquiry Week beginning 7/10/24 - Home: How to Write a Detailed Note Week beginning 14/10/24 - Sleep and Health: How to Make and Break Arrangements Week beginning 21/10/24 - Work: How to Describe Yourself in a Letter of Application Week beginning 28/10/24 - Relationships: How to Write a Film Review Week beginning 4/11/24 - Character and Flat-Sharing: How to Compare and Contrast Two Places Week beginning 11/11/24 - Travel: How to Write a Story Week beginning 18/11/24 - Friends and Family: How to Write in an Appropriate Style Week beginning 25/11/24 - Food: How to Organise Ideas Week beginning 2/12/24 - Places: How to Develop Ideas Week beginning 9/12/24 - Shopping: How to Link Ideas Week beginning 16/12/24 - Learning: How to Make a Text More Interesting Week beginning 23/12/24 - The Weather: How to Improve Punctuation Week beginning 30/12/24 - Stories: How to Correct and Edit Your Work Each week will include English language direction including spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, grammar and input on ideas. Learners are expected to complete their writing following each class and submit it via the classroom. I look forward to being part of your learning journey!
