Are you just looking for a new challenge?

In this new ongoing class, we will develop your writing skills (and practise your reading) so that you can are able to create fantastic stories and brilliant compositions! (And it will be fun)

I have a Masters and a PGCE (professional teaching qualification) from the University of Oxford and I have taught nearly 1000 students on Outschool. 

We will develop key writing skills, in a fun, friendly and academically challenging way. Lessons will be presented on powerpoint slides, with occasional accompanying worksheets. The lessons will be fun and interactive, with short bursts of activities to keep students engaged.

This is an ongoing class. Students can join and leave at any point. (Each lesson is a standalone lesson.)

The topic for the sessions will be:

Week 1  - Writing a funny story
Week 2 - Writing a poem
Week 3  - Writing a formal letter
Week 4  - Writing a scary story!
Week 5  - Writing to persuade
Week 6  - Writing a play
Week 7 - Writing a detective/mystery play
Week 8  - Writing a memoir (from your own memory)
Week 9  - Writing like Shakespeare
Week 10  - Writing a jumble story!
Week 11 - Non-fiction - write a description of your happiest day.
Week 12 - Comic book story 
Week 13 -  A blog post - all about why you’re famous! (fiction - probably!) 
Week 14 -  Descriptive and narrative writing.
Week 15 - A story about secrets 
Week 16 -  A copy and complete silly fantasy story.
Week 17 - A superhero story. 🦸‍♂️ 
Week 18 - A nonsense poem.
Week 19 - A description of a person (then we have to draw them!)
Week 20 - A space story. 
Week 21 -  A tv advert! Write the script. 
Week 22 - A letter to you when you are 42.

I have a Masters and a PGCE from Oxford, and many years experience teaching in a variety of schools across the UK. 

*Please note - I also run this class for 9 - 11 year olds. *
