Students will learn about and write an expository, narrative, compare/contrast, and persuasive essay about a topic relating to Minecraft. While the topics discussed in class will be Minecraft, we will not be playing Minecraft and the primary learning goal of the class is learning how to write essays. This class would be good for students learning how to write essays for the first time or students that struggle with writing and say, "I don't know what to write." Essays will be taught through...
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Writing and Journalism.
Students will write four essays over the course of eight weeks. Students can expect to spend a couple of hours on each essay.
Students will receive verbal feedback on their writing in class, but they can also receive private feedback if they submit their essays to be read over.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
