In this 4-week course, students will learn how to write strong 3-paragraph essays using a topic sentence, supporting details and conclusion. This class is designed best for students who have already taken my 2-week paragraph writing course. Students will write one essay a week including one of the following: expository essay, descriptive essay, narrative essay, and argumentative essay. Students will review the five steps in writing an essay (brainstorm, outline, rough draft, revise, final...
Students will learn four different types of essays (narrative, expository, argumentative, and descriptive) and how to write a strong 3-paragraph version of each. Students will get to practice and improve their writing.
Students will be assigned to write one 3-paragraph essay per week.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
