Description
Class Experience
The goal is for students to have a better understanding of folktales and to work on their own folktale.
I am a children's book author (www.judithsbooks.com). I have an MFA in Creative Writing and a Bachelor's in Journalism. I am also a substitute teacher for Chicago Public Schools. I am passionate about writing and helping young people become better writers.
The homework is for learners to continue working on their folktales.
A one-page handout will be provided on the first day of class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
How well they follow the writing questionnaire.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will share my screen with student to explain the PDF handout, I may also use screen sharing to show a powerpoint presentation of the lesson.
Optional: Students may bring one of their favorite books to show the rest of the class. It can be any book they love to read.
