Does your learner need some extra practice writing in cursive? Do they like to create fun stories? This one-time class combines both elements in an engaging, interactive class where learners work together to write a short story. Each learner will have a turn to add to the narrative as they write the story in cursive. If time allows, learners can even add illustrations! *Please keep in mind, this class is designed specifically for learners who already know the formation of the cursive alphabet but simply need practice to strengthen their skills. This class will be broken down as follows: 1) Greetings and introductions 2) Guidelines for activity 3) Story creation and cursive writing 4) Final read-aloud 5) Illustration creation (if time allows) 6) Closing thoughts and goodbyes If you have any questions about this class or would like to request a different time, feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to help!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello there! My name is Katelynn, and I absolutely love working with and teaching kids, whether that be through teaching on Outschool or working in children's classes at my church. I am currently obtaining my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and I look forward to applying the skills and strategies I have learned to my classes on Outschool.
In my Outschool classroom, you will find a variety of classes for a range of ages, from preschool to upper elementary students. Both formal and informal classes will be offered as well. I plan to offer classes on topics including language arts, mathematics, scavenger hunts, storytime, calligraphy, and crochet. In each of these classes, it is my goal to get students engaged in the lesson and enthusiastic about learning! It is of great importance to me that students leave my class feeling encouraged, valued, and appreciated, all while gaining valuable knowledge and skills.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or requests for new classes. I look forward to seeing your learner in one of my classes!
