Let's Vote! US Civics for Homeschoolers With Aunt Sam

How are Presidents elected? Why do we have Judges? What does Congress do? Who lives in the House? Join Aunt Sam as we answer these questions, investigate the US Government and learn about the Election Process. The class involves activities, Power Points, songs and discussion. Presidents wear different "hats," so instructions are provided to make some hats that Presidents have worn. I will wear my hat in class. We have break-out rooms, where small groups will discuss the topics of the lesson....
Students will gain a basic understanding of: History of the Election Process Branches of the United States Government Purpose of Elections Also, students will improve and practice listening, attention and focus skills Retell some story facts and events, discuss different events and how they effect our nation. Answer basic comprehension questions and present ideas from the topics discussed.
I have taught this class to my own children in our homeschool. I graduated in theater and love adding role-play to the lessons. The projects are fun, interesting and informative! Welcome to the class!
