Description

Class Experience

I am a global nomad and have visited over 85 countries, passionate about sharing these experiences and knowledge with others.
I have lived in Eastern Europe (in Moldova and Ukraine) for 19 years. Some of my relatives still live in Ukraine, so I am exposed to this country's culture and news on a regular basis. When not living in Ukraine, I have been visiting there about one a year, spending time with my relatives and friends and exploring a new part of the country.
Students are encouraged to read as much as they would like to about Ukraine before the class.
They can choose one area of interest (example: location, capital, flag, weather and other geographical features, customs, typical local food, local wild animals, or any other topic that student is interested in) and research this topic before the class. Students will be encouraged to share their knowledge of the country in the beginning of the class (sources might be required). They are welcome to share pictures and/or videos from their research in the class as well.

Additional activity options (after class):
1. Create your own passport and fill it out as we "travel" - files will be shared in the welcome post.
2. Scratch off map, for students to scratch each country that we learn about each week.
