Description

Class Experience

Students will learn about the cultures, languages, dress, food, music, architecture, landmarks, and more of European countries in a camp-style ongoing course.
I have taught English professionally to high school students and middle school students in the states of Missouri and Colorado. I am also an avid world traveler who is interested in seeing every country of the world within my lifetime.

I have traveled to 15 countries with plans to visit four more within the next year and I have visited 41 states. The following lists my country experiences:
With Family: Mexico, Jamaica, Belize, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, The United States
Solo: Spain, Portugal, and Andorra
For Work: Costa Rica, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore
In the Works: Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Morocco

Of the states I have traveled to, they are the following:
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming
Students will need a willingness to learn about the world! I also suggest access to paper, pens/pencils, crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. This is to allow for learning activities if our technology fails and we cannot play Kahoot! This is also to allow for individualism when our students represent their learning.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
