In this class, we will be sharpening their skills of reading an analog clock. In order to be successful in this course it is important that students come to class with the knowledge on how to read an analog clock and basic time terminology. There is a required printable for this course. In this fun and inviting course students will be left unmuted to chat with each other and with the teacher to figure how to read an analog (traditional style) clock. My teaching style for this course is very interactive as I believe this is an important life skill that all students need to know how to do! Here is a breakdown of how the "Let's Tell Time!" class breakdown into the 3 levels: Level 1: Introduction to Analog Clock/Basics Hours vs. Minutes/Telling Time O'Clock or Thirty Level 2: Time Terminology (AM, PM, Quarter Past, Half Past, Quarter To, etc.)/Telling Time using new Terminology/Using real life scenarios to work on understanding counting forward minutes. *THIS CLASS* Level 3: Focused on using all previously learned knowledge and working on effortlessly reading the clock. Filling in a blank clock, integrate real life scenarios/story problems to manipulate time, master the understanding of AM/PM and other time terminology. ***NOTE: All of my regularly scheduled classes will end on Tuesday August 25, 2020 -- I will be back to school and unable to facilitate classes on Outschool regularly. Please keep an eye out for my classes that pop-up throughout the traditional school year. Thank you for your understanding!***

Teacher expertise and credentials
Greetings! My name is Mr. Nick and I am a Kindergarten Teacher during the school year. I love being able to teach the topics I'm passionate about here on Outschool. My classes are typically geared towards lower-elementary aged children and focus on areas like social emotional learning, diversity, inclusion, and core curriculum. I love to make learning interactive, fun, and relevant to the students. I have my Elementary Teaching Certificate for grades K-5 and have years of experience working with kids in an educational environment. Ranging from the Zoo to the traditional classroom. Beyond the classroom, I love to spend time outdoors and taking care of my backyard garden. Overall, learning is meant to be enjoyable and that is what I hope my classroom does for all students who enter!

- Class transfers will be grated to other sections of the same course up until the start of the scheduled session.
- I strive to create a virtual classroom space that is fun, engaging, and celebrates all learners. Though in the event of frequent or persistent interruptions, background noise, or inappropriate/off-topic conversation the mute function will be used at my, the teacher, discretion.
- The chat function and ability to rename themselves is disabled in all of my classrooms.
