US Grade 2 - 5
Games are a great way for English students to practice grammar in a fun and relaxed environment. In this class students will build their confidence in asking and answering questions using the simple past verb tense. Using the simple past is often a challenge for new English language learners; in this class, students practice and strengthen their memory of the various irregular simple verb tenses. First students will review simple past verb tense with a quick speed game. Students will see the word in the base form and then have to state the simple past tense form. Then students will ask and answer questions about hobbies, food, daily routines and family. We will play the TicTacToe game as a whole class, with each student having his/her own game board on a piece of paper. **Please bring paper and pencil/pen to class** **This is a great class for former students of Gogo, VipKids, PalFish, SayABC, Magic Ears and Whale English. I have taught for these companies in the past.**. *Note: This is part of a series of fun and simple English games to practice grammar .
Learning Goals
Students will strengthen their confidence in asking and answering questions using the simple past tense. They will also improve their critical thinking skills as they try to win each TicTacToe game.
