US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
In the class, the children will explore the fascinating world of penguins. The children will learn what penguins eat, where they live, and the names of the tallest and smallest penguins. We will also identify the different body parts of the penguin (beak, flippers, feathers, feet, and tail). Real pictures will be used to show children the differences between different types of penguins as well as baby versus adult penguins. During the last part of this class, the children can choose from the shapes "oval, rectangle, circle, and triangle" to create their own fun penguins! They will each have a chance to show their classmates their penguin drawings. Throughout this class, children will be encouraged to answer questions, share their opinions, and discuss their own penguin experiences. The children will need paper and something to draw with during class. Thank you! I hope to see you all soon for our penguin adventure!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching for the last 27 years in a variety of settings. I have worked with children 3 to 12 years of age. I have created curriculum for 3-6 year old's, tutored, been a nanny, an assistant director, assistant teacher for early learners in the school district, and taught English (ESL) online. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Psychology. I love to find creative ways for children to learn and have fun! I believe children learn best through a variety of means including: repetition, writing, movement, creativity, socialization, fun, and a positive attitude. If I do not know the answer to a child's question, I will research it and let them know. Knowledge is a powerful tool that can create a spark for future learning and life adventures. I can not wait to have fun teaching and learning from your little ones! See you in the classroom!
