In the class, the children will explore the fascinating world of penguins.  The children will learn what penguins eat, where they live, and the names of the tallest and smallest penguins.  We will also identify the different body parts of the penguin (beak, flippers, feathers, feet, and tail).  Real pictures will be used to show children the differences between different types of penguins as well as baby versus adult penguins.  During the last part of this class, the children can choose from the shapes  "oval, rectangle, circle, and triangle" to create their own fun penguins!  They will each have a chance to show their classmates their penguin drawings.  Throughout this class, children will be encouraged to answer questions, share their opinions, and discuss their own penguin experiences.
