Nintendo is a well known company that started in 1889 producing playing cards. Nintendo has come a long way to become what they are now. Nintendo now has 700+ games to talk about and experience. We will discuss everything from the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) to the Nintendo Switch. Perhaps you are interested in: - The lore and history of the company - The lore and history of the games - Possibly you are focused on strategies as you master that game title you are currently playing - Or you might be curious about what your classmates think about characters and their stories from your favorite game. In this ongoing class, we will explore all of these topics! Each week we will have a planned agenda and discussion points, but students will also be invited to submit their own ideas to add to the agenda! Everyone is welcome, from beginners to long time experts. Week of 6/13 - 6/20 Topic: Introduction -Class Introduction: Get you know your new classmates - Which game is your favorite and why? - Do you have a favorite character/franchise? - History of Nintendo Week of 6/20 - 6/27 Topic: E3 news and the newest games - Discussion of new games arriving in 2021 - Which game are you most excited for? - Which game/franchise would you like to see more of? Week of 6/27 - 7/4 Topic: Competition in games - Best competitive game(s)? - Discussion of Esports. - Discussion of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. - Which fighter would you like to see? Week of 7/4 - 7/11 Topic: Gaming Activity - Who's that character? Can you guess which game/franchise this mysterious character is from? - Discussion of your favorite gaming console (Nintendo). - Discussion of creating a character and/or story.
