Class Experience
This class is a discussion class that will be student lead and guided by the teacher. Students will start class by determining what skills and traits make a basketball player the Greatest Of All Time. Students will each get a turn to share who they believe is the greatest NBA player is of all time and why! Student are encouraged to bring stats to back up their reason to believe their player is the Greatest Of All Time! The teacher will ask question to change the students answer. Students...
Students will develop public speaking skills. Learn that we can disagree and still respect each other. Student will learn more about other NBA superstars.
I have been a life long basketball fan. I grew up watching The Bulls in the '80's and '90's. In the late '90's I stopped watching just one team and started to follow players. Not only do I love watching basketball, I also played competitive basketball for 16 years. I now coach basketball players of all ages (5-18). My favorite player is Micheal Jordan, but I am also a huge Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James fan!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
