In this level 1 flex class, Students will learn the basic of French through repetition, song, and games. Once a week on Monday, students will be provided with a short video (10-15) explaining the topic of the week for them to watch. Most of the video will be in French approximately 90% and the remainder percentage will be in English for a clear understanding. In the video, the teacher will start with a greeting song and move on to present the subject of the week then students will repeat...
Learners will learn: -Greetings and numbers -Colors -Shapes -Days of the week
Even though it is a flex class Students are encouraged to interact with each other through the week in the classroom by answering the question of the week and replying to each other's worksheets, games, and videos. We are going to have a group assignment each week. The group will be divided into 4 team of 3 learners for a total of 12 learners in case of 9 learners then the total team will be 3 for 3 learners. Note this please, learners will move from one team to another each week and giving opportunity to everyone to interact with each other. For instance, team A with 3 people the first person asks the 2 others what's you name then both of them respond and ask the same question to the first person. All of them are asking and responding to each other. Each week, students will be provided with Nearpod game to play at home. They will have numbers of games to choose and play. All classes are pre-recorded and will be posted on Monday, Wednesday will be to check for improvement or any issue to discuss. (Students will receive individual feedback each week), then Friday all the assignments are due. I do encourage self-expression and value all efforts.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
