Let's Talk Animals and Adjectives
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Animal lovers unite! In this one time course, learners will have the opportunity to practice both their speaking and story writing skills. This class will give students some tools to use when writing a story and help them better understand how to begin the writing process. We will begin class by introducing ourselves and talking about our favorite animal or pet. We will then learn about adjectives and how to use them to describe our favorite animals and play a fun game. I will then discuss what the main components of a story are and we will create a mind map to help us write our stories. Depending on time and student's individual pace, I will assist in writing the actual story. Learners are not expected to finish their story in class. There will be time at the end of class for students to share what they have written if they would like. If students would like to complete their stories after our class and share them with me, I would be happy to read them and give feedback.
Learning Goals
Students will learn ways to begin the story writing process and how to use adjectives to describe characters.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
My name is Morgan Hernandez and I am an online ESL teacher, mom to a spirited 2 year old, and a former barber. I have been teaching online for the past 3 years and love that this unique classroom setting allows me to meet student from all parts of the world. I hold a B.A. degree in Human Development with a focus in Early Childhood Education from California State University Long Beach. I have always loved working with students and have worked in both the classroom and after school settings. I currently live in Florida with my family, which includes a dog(Axel) and cat(Arthur). I have a passion for animals and would have a zoo if my husband allowed it!
All of the classes I will teach will come from my passions for animals, reading, writing, American governments, sewing, hair grooming and having fun. One of the most important lessons I learned from working as a barber was to truly listen to people and appreciate each individual’s unique qualities. When working with students, one of my main goals is to help them feel confident and proud of the traits that make them who they are.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me and I hope to see you in class soon!
