Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
During this chat club I will go over fun facts about different animals being discussed. We will be discussing animals all around the world and each week we will rotate which part of the world we are going to chat about. There will be fun trivia questions each week and time to share facts about your favorite animal. I highly encourage learners to bring animal drawings, stuffed animals or any animal related toys to show and tell each week. Please be sure to check out the schedule below, this class is designed for learners to join and unsubscribe without skipping a beat.

I love animals. I teach fun animal themed workouts and feel there are kids who just want to talk animals so I want to create a space for that. I also want kids to learn the importance of taking turns and listening to others who are in class. During class I'll share fun facts of 7-9 different animals and make sure to have plenty of time for all participants to interact. This class is designed to be fun and strictly for those wanting to chat about animals.

***Please be aware if there is a lot of background noise or a learner interrupts, I will use the mute button. I want learners to feel they are being heard when it's their turn. Please let your learner know that I am excited to hear their comments, but they need to share talk time with the other learners in class (their comments should be 30-45 seconds each turn).

***I recommend students looking up a few fun facts from the topic we are going to teach before class starts. This is not required, but just a fun way for students to learn and teach something new about animals.

Hello! My name is Shelley. My husband and I have two kids and together we enjoy hiking, gardening, cooking, beach trips and just try to enjoy the outdoors any way we can. I graduated with a bachelor's in health science and have always had a interest in healthy living. I became an ESL online teacher in May of 2018 and have found that teaching has become another passion for me. I love getting students excited to learn new things, to see them grow is truly rewarding. I have a special interest in teaching phonics, baking and work outs. I also enjoy engaging students in storytime.
