This class is a space for your learner to tell me and their classmates all about their favorite animal! Is your favorite animal a monkey? A dog? Wolf? Rabbit? Lion? Horse? Guinea pig? Tiger? Koala? Pangolin? No matter what your favorite is, come to class and share! What are your favorite things about the animal? What makes you love them? Why are they super cool? I want to hear it all! This class alternates themed weeks and choose any animal weeks. Students can choose to share about their animals or play a bit of Guess Who and give spoken, written, or emoji clues to have classmates guess their animal. If time allows, we complete a fun quiz, activity, drawing, or game. Every learner will have time to share and interact with each other and me to talk about the animal they love. Have more to share about your animal? Have a bunch of animals you love? Did you learn about a new animal? Join again for next time to share more! These weekly classes do not build upon previous weeks and learners are able to join and leave at any time. I will always share facts and knowledge about my favorite animals of the week and ask questions to encourage learner participation. Students can optionally bring a photo, stuffed animal, etc. related to their favorite animal. No other materials are needed; however, I do provide a printable "All About My Favorite Animal" organizer page for students to use to help them organize their thoughts for class! Outline: Week of January 15: Felines Week of January 22: ANY Week of January 19: Winter Week of February 5: ANY Week of February 12: Valentines Class discussion will be dictated weekly due to the learner-chosen animals.
