If you are a fan of the American show, 'The Office', this class is for you! In this on-going class, we will discuss everything 'The Office'. Each class will have a different focus of the show that we will discuss, debate, and analyze. You don't need to be an expert, but you need to consider yourself a fan and know enough about the show in order to discuss with your classmates the highs and lows of the show that make it great. In this class, we will be discussing friendships, relationships, individual characters, the writing, themes, the influence of particular characters on the overall outcome of the show, and much more! There is so much to unpack from the nine seasons, and together we can explore the ins and outs of 'The Office'. The class structure may vary based on the particular topic of the week, but students can expect in some classes to participate in Kahoot, discussions, slideshow presentations to help guide the discussion, quotes, analyze smalls clips together, and enjoy some laughs about our favourite moments from this show. Here are what the first 7 classes will cover: Class 1 : Michael Scott - character development Class 2 : Roy and Pam - character analysis as a couple Class 3 : Warehouse and 'Upstairs Workers' - division in the workplace Class 4 : Season 1 - the highs and lows of first impressions Class 5 : Jim Halpert - character development in the early seasons (pre-Pam and Jim) Class 6: The Stamford Branch - merger Class 7: Christmas in the office - from the iPod to Meredith's hair on fire
