Class Experience
This is a relaxed discussion course. Students that are studying Shakespeare can join the class to discuss specific plays, the man, his times, acting in the Tudor period or even the authorship (did Shakespeare write his plays?). Students that are not studying Shakespeare but are simply interested in the Bard, one of his plays, or the Tudor period can join the class to discuss these topics. There is no agenda. Students will have an opportunity to get their questions and curiosities about Shakespeare, his plays, and times answered.
I'm an English teacher and have been for more than two decades. I've read every play and sonnet attributed to Shakespeare more than once (Macbeth at least 40 times!) and have acted in and directed multiple of the plays.

Some plays include very dark material. I've been teaching Shakespeare to middle and high school for over two decades and will steer conversations away from content that may be inappropriate for the age group in the class.
