In this ongoing show-and-tell course students will be given the opportunity to bring a potted plant from their collection or home to share with the class and teacher. They can bring their favorite plant, least favorite, biggest, smallest, house plants, vegetables, herbs, etc. just has to be in a pot and easy to share on Zoom. Students will learn to share and troubleshoot plant related skills and tips with each other, while working on language and listening, social skills, and plant science. Students can learn to identify plant species and plant cultivars that may be shared during this ongoing course. Tips and tricks of the trade of growing may be shared or interjected into the lesson by the teacher that can be used and implemented immediately after the class meeting.
I have my Bachelor’s degree in horticulture and greenhouse management with a minor in entomology. I have 5+ years of experience in agricultural and entomological field and lab science. I am also an avid home grower of potted house plants and vegetables.
