Let’s Talk about Percy Jackson

During this course, we are going to be reading the book “Percy Jackson The Lightening Thief”. Students will participate during class discussions about the book. Each week we will talk about the chapters we have read.

Hello and welcome to a book reading of “Percy Jackson”. This course we are going to be reading the first book in the series called “Percy Jackson and the Olympian’s, The Lightning Thief”. Throughout this course, we are going to be doing exciting things to help with our comprehension, but also our creativity.

Chapters 1-2
 This week, we are will be reading the first two chapters. The first chapter will be read by me and the next chapter will be read on your own time. At the end of each reading, there will be questions to be answered. Fill out and turn them in. 
Lesson 2:
Chapters 3-4
 This week, we are will be reading the chapters 3-4. The first chapter will be read by me and the next chapter will be read on your own time. At the end of each reading, there will be questions to be answered. Fill out and turn them in. 
Lesson 3:
Chapters 5-6
 This week, we are will be reading the chapters 5-6. The first chapter will be read by me and the next chapter will be read on your own time. At the end of each reading, there will be questions to be answered. Fill out and turn them in. 
Lesson 4:
Chapters 7-8
 This week, we are will be reading the chapters 7-8. The first chapter will be read by me and the next chapter will be read on your own time. At the end of each reading, there will be questions to be answered. Fill out and turn them in.

Parental Guidance
The story is considered to be PG. there will be slight name calling (seaweed brain), and battles with weapons (swords, bow and arrows)
Supply List
“Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief” copy of the book. This is required. Please make sure that it is a hand held book and not ereaders.
